Rubricated almost throughout and with some initials painted in red as well as numerous woodcut initials. 17th century leather binding with rich gold embossing on the spine, at the lower end of the spine is the monogram "JHL" - Pettegree & Walsby, French Books, III, 57249. Not in Adams. Baudrier XII, 322. Marion Chauvin, Jacques Sacon, imprimeur-libraire lyonnais du XVIe siècle (1497-1529), 2011, no. 65 (does not mention the 30 unnumbered leaf indices at the end, but a printer's mark by Giunta).-Beautiful Lyon Bible, the second printed by Sacon and published by Lucantonio Giunta (after 1506), in the version prepared by the Dominican Alberto Castellano. Extremely rich in period marginalia, also with numerous deletions in the text; the entries are probably by two hands Ownership entry Jac. Chr. Lindberg dated 1833 in red ink on the title.
