A two-column Venetian printing of Horace's lyrical poetry, extensively commented on by numerous renowned scholars.
The woodcut, repeated at the beginning of each book, depicts Horace at his writing desk.
Some dampstains, title with period manuscript ownership entry, handwritten donation inscription and mounted library label of the Capuchin monastery of St. James in Cologne.
First and last gatherings with wormholes.
Varying degrees of browning and water-stained throughout.
