Estienne supplied most of the Latin translations of the Greek texts, which were selected from Herodotus, Thucydides, Xenophon, Polybius, Arrian and Herodian.
The Roman historians include Sallust, Livy, Tacitus, Quintus Curtius, and Ammianus Marcellinus.


First edition, folio, woodcut printer's device to title, text printed in Greek and Latin.
