First Latin edition of this richly illustrated chronicle of Venice, based on Sabellico's "Rerum Venetarum" of 1487.

The text woodcuts by the important Swiss-German draftsman, engraver, and painter Jost Amman (1539-1591) depict the Doges of Venice along with their coats of arms.
