Senator and member of the Council of Ten of Venice , he is known for his Six Days ( 1567 ), a collection of short stories told in six days by six schoolchildren in 1542 .
He was the first Italian writer of numismatics. He wrote the short stories The six days in Boccaccesco style and four philosophical letters. Together with Enea Vico they established the principles of numismatics.
