====================
Johann Pistorius (often referred to as Johann Pistorius the Younger or Niddanus, 1546–1608) was a prominent German historian, physician, and theologian during the Protestant Reformation.
He is best remembered for his controversial religious shifts, having transitioned from Lutheranism to Calvinism, and ultimately to Roman Catholicism, where he became a fierce defender of the Catholic faith.
