Tobias Stimmer's beautiful woodcuts, mostly executed by C. van Sichem and St.'s brother Hans Christoffel, are "among the finest works of German form cutting in the second half of the 16th century" (Thieme-B. 32, 59). - Browned, occasional stains. Title finger-stained, with restored marginal tears, and mounted. 2nd leaf with restored tear in the margin.
