=======================
Examinis Concilii Tridentini is a major four-part theological work written by the Lutheran reformer Martin Chemnitz

Martin Chemnitz (1522–1586), a leading Evangelical Lutheran theologian.

A rigorous critique and refutation of the decrees and canons issued by the Catholic Council of Trent.

Divided into four distinct sections covering the major doctrinal points of the Catholic Church.

Chemnitz uses both scriptural sources (sacrae scripturae fontibus) and the consensus of the early church fathers (orthodoxorum Patrum consensu) to argue the Lutheran position.
