Elaborately designed edition about the history of the first ten Roman-German emperors from Charlemagne to Louis the Child, with whom the Carolingian lineage died out, as well as his successor Conrad I of Franconia.
Beautiful engravings with portraits, coins, coats of arms and a few also with emblematic depictions.
The Venetian Giovanni Palazzi (1640-1703) was an imperial historiographer.
Vellum bound. Lacks ties.
