Text in French
==============================
Jean de Beaulieu was an engineer, geographer to the king and sworn surveyor in the department of La Rochelle.
It deals with planimetry (measurements of surveying), longimetry (lengths and widths of objects in surveying), stereometry (measurement of solid bodies), altimetry (measurement of volumes). Here the second part is entitled: "The key to arithmetic, or the science of numbers to solve all the questions proposed, for the operations of French Geometry" signed A.M.D.G. The third is a treatise on squaring the circle "fortunately discovered by the author of the present treatise".
