This interesting work deals with topics such as "On Comets" (pp. 82-106), "On Earthquakes" (pp. 311-329), and "On Metals" (pp. 351-421).
The emblematic copperplates depict, among others, the professions of fishermen, miners, pharmacists, alchemists, money counters, and merchants.

Some toning, owner's note on the frontispiece, a few pages slightly soiled.
