The work is of particular interest because of the four anatomical plates engraved by J.H. Werner with numerous, partly very small and fragile, movable and fold-out parts.

They provide a vivid insight into the interior of the female and male body, including descriptions of mortal wounds.

Browned throughout.
2 leaves with repaired tears and 2 further leaves with reinforced folds.
