The title-page states "Nearly Seventy Cuts..." so it is possible that this copy is missing some plates, but we've been unable to verify this.

This is an early English language edition of the Indian Sanskrit epic, the Panchatantra.

The author is unknown, but this has been attributed to ancient Indian scholar, Vishnu Sharma.
