The 1872 House Report of the Committee on Indian Affairs, titled Alleged Frauds Against Certain Indian Soldiers (H.R. Rep. No. 96, 42nd Congress, 2nd Session),
is a 590-page congressional document detailing financial exploitation and corruption regarding Civil War payments owed to Native American soldiers.

 Investigation into the theft and withholding of military bounties, back pay, and pensions.

 Indigenous soldiers from the Creek, Cherokee, and Seminole nations who served in the Union Army—specifically organized as the First, Second, and Third Regiments of the Indian Home Guard during the American Civil War.
