Konig Wilhelm II und Konigin Charlotte von Wurttemberg

Wilhelm II ( February 25, 1848 in Stuttgart , October 2, 1921 at Schloss Bebenhausen ) was the fourth and last king of Württemberg from 1891 to 1918.

Prince Wilhelm married Princess Charlotte to Schaumburg-Lippe in 1886. Prince William's choice of a wife fell to an aristocrat from a less important dynasty.

No children came from the marriage with Princess Charlotte to Schaumburg-Lippe, which is why, since the 1890s, Duke Albrecht of Württemberg , the sprout of a Catholic side of the House of Wurttemberg , was introduced to the government as a successor to the throne.
