Nathan Woodruff House at 145 Madison Ave. in Elizabeth, NJ. The vine covered, colonial style home was built before
1765 by Nathan Woodruff, who was born in 1731, one of the twelve children of Timothy Woodruff Sr. and his wife Mary
Baker. The Woodruffs were among the earliest settlers of the city. The house was razed in 1927 to make way for a
YMCA.
