==================
The sacrificial instructions given in the Bible, specifically when Moses tells the community of Israel what sacrifices they must bring to the altar.

The exact verse describing these specific offerings ( in Leviticus 9:3 ), which states:

"And you shall speak to the children of Israel, saying: 'Take a male goat for a sin offering, and a calf and a lamb, both a year old, without blemish, for a burnt offering'"

The Sin Offering:
A male goat meant to make atonement for the people's sins.

The Burnt Offering:
A calf and a lamb (or sometimes a ram in parallel passages), completely consumed by the altar fire to symbolize total dedication to God.

The Fellowship/Peace Offerings:
Often accompanied by an ox and a ram, where a portion is eaten in communion with God.

Moses instructed the elders of Israel to bring these animals forward so the "glory of the Lord" could appear to them
