Size 18 by 81"BOOK of NUMBERS 4:39-15:164The LORD commanded Moses to take another census of the family of Kohath, of the tribe of Levi, in verses 1-20. This census counted how many males there were between 30 and 50 years old. The family of Kohath was given the privilege of caring for the holiest items in the tabernacle.5Chapter 5 of the Book of Numbers in the Bible covers several topics, including:The purity of the campThe Lord instructs Moses to command the Israelites to remove from the camp anyone who is unclean, including those with a skin disease, discharge, or who has been in contact with a corpse. Restitution for wrongsThe Lord instructs Moses to tell the Israelites that if someone wrongs another person, they must:Confess their sin Make full restitution for the wrong Add one-fifth of the value to the restitution and give it to the person they wronged If there is no close relative to receive the restitution, it must be given to the Lord and the priest Unfaithful wivesThe Lord instructs Moses on what to do if a man suspects his wife of unfaithfulness. The man must bring his wife to the priest, who will perform various rites and ceremonies. The man will give his wife bitter water to test her chastity. If she is guilty, the bitter water will have a strange effect on her. If she is not guilty, the bitter water will not affect her. 6THE VOW OF THE NAZARITE (6:1-21): In this chapter, God gives instructions to Israelites who wanted to make a special vow, a Nazarite vow, dedicating themselves to the Lord.7he second longest is Numbers 7. The presentations that this chapter records—an elaborate ceremony of dedicatory offerings lasting 12 days—jumps back chronologically, and took place at the time when the Israelites dedicated the tabernacle and the brazen altar 8This chapter discusses the completion of the Tabernacle and the dedication of those who would be working in-and-around it, which Exodus 40 tells us occurred on the 1st day of the 1st month in the 2nd year after Israel left Egypt.9Now the LORD spoke to Moses in the Wilderness of Sinai, in the first month of the second year after they had come out of the land of Egypt, saying: “Let the children of Israel keep the Passover at its appointed time. On the fourteenth day of this month, at twilight, you shall keep it at its appointed time.10TWO SILVER TRUMPETS (10:1-10): God told Moses to make 2 silver trumpets for “summoning the congregation and for breaking camp.” If both trumpets were blown at once, all the people were to gather at the Tabernacle. If only one trumpet was blown, only the chiefs of Israel needed to gather at the Tabernacle.11THE ISRAELITES COMPLAIN (11:1-17): Not long after leaving Mount Sinai the Israelites started complaining about their “misfortunes.” The Lord became angry and sent a fire that consumed parts of the outer camp. Moses prayed for the people and God withdrew the fire.12 Moses' brother and sister, Aaron and Miriam, try to launch a revolt against his authority. They appear to have a reasonable complaint. Moses teaches that Israelites are not to marry foreigners (Deut. 7:3), yet he himself has a foreign wife13 the Israelites have arrived at the southern border of the Promised Land. Ever since the days that they left Egypt, this is where they were heading. The land was the gift that God had promised them. This was “the land of Canaan, which I am giving to the Israelites”14In contrast, in chapter 14 Aaron and Moses fall on their face— knowing the dangerous territory the mob is headed in following their fear— and pray before the Almighty. Meanwhile, Caleb and Joshua, the two faithful spies, try to persuade the crowd with the goodness of the land and the God who promised to provide it.15 the Lord taught the Israelites about repentance. He also taught what sacrifices they needed to perform after choosing not to follow Him and refusing to enter the promised land. Read Numbers 15:27–29, looking for what the priest was told to do for someone who sinned ignorantly.================================= Please see my other auctions Thank You ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Size 18 by 81" BOOK of NUMBERS 4:39-15:16 4 The LORD commanded Moses to take another census of the family of Kohath, of the tribe of Levi, in verses 1-20.
