EXODUS 7:1-10:14

In the Bible, Exodus 7:1–14 describes the events that took place before Pharaoh when Moses and Aaron performed miracles to convince Pharaoh to let the Israelites go: 
The Lord tells Moses to perform a miracle: The Lord tells Moses to tell Aaron to cast his staff down in front of Pharaoh, and it will turn into a snake 
Aaron performs the miracle: Aaron casts his staff down, and it turns into a snake 
Pharaoh summons magicians: Pharaoh calls on the wise men and sorcerers of Egypt to perform the same miracle 
The magicians perform the miracle: The magicians perform the miracle, but Aaron's staff swallows up theirs 
The Lord tells Moses to perform another miracle: The Lord tells Moses to strike the water of the Nile with his staff, and it will turn to blood 
Moses performs the miracle: Moses strikes the water of the Nile with his staff, and it turns to blood 
The Egyptians are unable to drink the water: The fish die, the river stinks, and the Egyptians can't drink the water 
Pharaoh's heart hardens: Pharaoh's heart hardens, and he refuses to listen to Moses and Aaron 
The purpose of hardening Pharaoh's heart was to show that Yahweh was the true sovereign of the universe.
